20) Before you leave home! – see email sent annually re: top 12 things to do
before you leave home for home!

  1. Arrange hold on Mail, newspapers, water deliver etc
    (https://holdmail.usps.com/duns/HoldMail.jsp
  2. Water all your plants thoroughly
  3. Pay any necessary bills (as if you had any money left)
  4. Empty all garbage cans – nothing worse than coming home to a stinky house
  5. Turn water heater to vacation mode and reset programmable thermostat for
    house
  6. Set auto reply on email and VMX if appropriate
  7. Get an envelope of money for ice – small bills are best
  8. Get spare keys for car and house and put somewhere safe in car
  9. Make cookies for the gate and greeters – start your gifting as soon as you
    hit the Playa
  10. Eat a good breakfast – you have a long day ahead of you!
  11. Pack your camelback and keep it handy in car
  12. Make sure you have your Burning Man ticket and EA pass with you
